You Can Afford A Home Surveillance Video System

by Camera Master on September 5, 2011

Every day as I walked out of my house, I turned my back on my most important investment - my loved ones and my home. I really could not afford the price of installation, hardware and repair off a Home Surveillance Video System. I took the possibility that my "BEWARE OF DOG SIGN" would deter intruders. Maybe it has worked or I have been just plain lucky.

I really do live in a remote area and also have no neighbors to alert me to suspicious activity. A property surveillance video system would add satisfaction and security. My fantasy would have been to setup a camera and possess the ability to see any activity around my house...from deer in my yard to unwelcomed visitors. About the lighter side I've come home to a house in shambles not because of intruders but due to the adventures of my cat and dog. I can't imagine what sort of games went on while I was gone.

Now, I've found the solution. I can view what's going on at my home with my cellular phone or my work computer. You can too! You can keep an eye on your home by installing a house surveillance video system yourself. All you need is your home computer as well as an inexpensive Web Cam to stream your house surveillance video.

Carrying it out yourself you can choose 2 methods of your home surveillance video system. You can spend as little as $29 to "the sky's the limit". I will focus on 2 home surveillance video systems:

The simple Home Surveillance - for $30
The Logitech WiLife Home Surveillance Video System at approximately $300.
The simple Home Surveillance -Video Method is a Step by Step guide on setting up a camera or cameras without monthly maintenance fees. All you need is:

Your Web cam to stream video
Your pc
The free software with this guide
An Internet connection to view remotely to the web or your cellular phone
This guide does provide you with access to free Video Surveillance software and instructions on how to view your web cam from the cell phone. You can monitor your internet cam from your computer, remote computer or Cell Phone. It is an excellent guide. You can't go wrong for the price.

Price around $30.

If you do not mind spending the money and don't have a Cam, my next choice could be:

The Logitech WiLife. It comes with:

An indoor wireless video camera
All the home video surveillance software you need up and going.
You can up to a total of six cameras and monitor them from the computer or remote computer or Cell phone. It will come with a basic camera and a USB receiver to plug into a power socket. Put you guessed it-your camera or cameras in position and plug them to the nearest wall. WiLife moves video from your cameras to the receiver (then onto your PC) over household electrical wires.
