why they have to go either for a bigger sensor or more pixels, What is the point to go to the extremes, It? is the picture quality what counts for the average user, why should I prefer a camera that takes 12 frames/ second it they are not sharp. First give us quality then give us quality.
I am a Nikon guy all my life, but this is one perfect piece of device .. I’d buy this in a heartbeat and skip the way overpriced J1 of the V1 with its? tiny sensor … Canon .. well done!

This is the type of point and shoot I’ve been waiting for. Canon does an outstanding job at making sure underwater housing is available for just about every one of? their cameras and after checking the site, this one is no different. Ikilite hasn’t been especially kind to any of the larger sensor point and shoots that I’ve seen. I am, however, open to suggestions. I’m really excited about his one. I’m not so pumped about the 30 fps video but we can’t have it all in a compact.
“it’s only 800 bucks and it’s much more affordable” than a dslr. really? it’s not necessarily more affordable than a dslr. canon’s t3, t3i, and t2i are all more affordable than this camera. this is probably a great camera and i would consider it. but, if someone really? wants a dslr, there are great canons, nikons, etc. to choose from that are all under $800. $800 cameras are not “affordable” though.

Well, Sony NEX- are way better, smaller and? have bigger sensors and are cheaper
