My new camera! Canon Powershot S100. I upgrade from the Canon s90 and I love it. It now has optical zoom while recording videos also. The lighting is amazing and the zoom have drastically improved. There is a dedicated record button now too. I love this camera so much I am so excited. I am going to record everything I see. Oh yes the pictures comes out very nice too. Great Image Quality. The video? looks solid being that it’s a digital camera. But for the price, I’d rather save $300 more and get a T3i Rebel.

@LaczupakabraPL I would say it is average. When filming? there is a slight delay when it change focus from a close up object vs a far away one.
Is AF is slow when filming? Great video? man!

@loves2play yeah it does very well in low light. As for zooming it is? good but not the best. Depending on how much of a zoom you are looking for.
kelly park is beautiful, nice video. can it zoom in a lot? i want a p&s camera that takes great low light photos & video? but that has a decent zoom. is the canon s100 the winner?

@zcarenow Low light pictures are better if you shoot a lot of low light or in doors. The ND filter is also pretty helpful in case you are outdoors and it is too bright. The 8 pictures per second burst mode works very well. So there is a significant upgrade but if you are just taking regular pictures like say out doors then maybe it is not so worth it. As for me I use my camera wherever I go so it was very worth is for? me.
