I have had 3 previous Canon Cameras ( 2 SLRs and an A540 ) and have been more than pleased with their quality, value and performance. Guess I got spoiled and took for granted that it would always be that way with Canon. My bad – buyer beware. This one should be an embarrassment to the Canon brand. No superfine quality available, noisy, grainy pix and movie mode. Poor grip, flimsy battery and card door. It is a cheap camera, because it is a cheap camera. After the fact reading of customer reviews on other sites told me that other buyers agree. Amazon and Cameta Camera performed their functions well – its just Canon itself that really I am disappointed in. More research next time, and a consideration of other brands.
