All the 16GB kits had a 50" tripod, bigger then I need for my uses. I would have bought the camera direct from Amazon to get free shipping and another bundle from another vendor...likely paying for shipping, but there were now 16GB bundles at the time. I tried this camera out for a couple days from Best Buy and it lived up to the review hype, and will be a great step up from my Canon A620 flip screen point-and-shoot.
